The Boekelman's

Over Labor Day weekend I was able to photograph my dear cousins Rachel and Jordan. What naturals! They made my job easy! It was a perfect overcast day and we found some great locations in northwest Iowa. I thought I would share a few shots from the session. Enjoy!

It's here! My own personal design...and it's on SALE!

50% OFF SALE ENDS TODAY! (Monday) - Contact me with any questions!

Because of the many requests for the design in brown or natural tones, I'm adding a sample of that design for others to see! Remember, this design is customized to fit your existing decor. Just let me know the look you're going for and I'll personalize it just for you and your home or your friend and their home!

The final product will not include the copyright information.

I've always loved the 'Footprints in the Sand' poem and the meaning behind it. I can't tell you how many times those words have put me at ease in my life. What a great comfort knowing that the Lord is always with us, looking after us and carrying us when we have rough patches in our lives and may feel that we cannot go on. It emphasizes the Father's never-ending love and faithfulness.

I don't know about others, but I do know that I have had a lot of trouble finding this poem in a modern medium. Like always, I told myself that someday I would sit down and design a print - and finally I found the time! Rather than the traditional shot of a sandy beach or sky, I took a different approach and placed the emphasis and focus on the text, giving it a more contemporary look. I love typography! If you look closely, you'll see the one set of footprints.

I'm excited to offer this print to all of you who enjoy the poem as much as I do. The colors and size are completely customizable to match your existing decor! The photo above is a 16x20 framed print; additionally, this is also available as a gallery wrap canvas, which has become very popular in the last year or two! Below is the info and pricing!

Cover Contest

Professional Photographers of America is having their annual Magazine Cover Contest. I thought it would be fun to enter one of my photos for the contest.

I had a lot of different choices from landscape, babies, graduating seniors, couples, etc and I decided to go with a photo of Bella. The simplicity of the photo with the vivid fall colors made it stand out to me. Plus, I can't lie, I'm a little biased because it's Bella of course!

Take a moment to visit the link and see the photo and rate it!

A Panoramic View!

One of my favorite places in Northern Minnesota is this cove known as Little Two Harbors. To the left of the sailboat, way in the distance, you can see Split Rock Lighthouse and the island in the middle is Ellingson Island.

This panorama is made up of four individual photos I captured and then stitched together and edited for the final print.

In the photo below, it shows and explains what used to be here at Little Two Harbors. Very interesting place to visit!

Duluth Area

Late last summer my husband and I took a trip with his family to Duluth, MN and the surrounding area. What a beautiful area - gorgeous scenery, especially in August!

We headed northeast out of Duluth to Gooseberry Falls and Split Rock Lighthouse. If you've never been - please do! My camera got a lot of use that week! I would love to post the hundreds of photos that I shot, but I thought I would share just a few of my favorites.

Babies are the best!

This past November I was lucky enough to have a photo shoot with the sweetest little girl. She wasn't quite sure what was going on but she did a great job! What a precious face!

We were able to find the perfect spot for our team and individual photos. I had a lot of fun with this photo session........in the 30-35 mph wind!!
